Cate, Carter, Sammie and I dressed in our finest, packed some Swedish fish, and headed to the opera house for a new cultural Christmas tradition: The Nutcracker Ballet! (no cultural event is complete without Swedish fish:)
Sofie stayed with a babysitter, despite her disinterest in bottles, she was a champ:) mike funded the event by working:( he'll come next year!
These were their comments:
Sammie: "it was fun! The Chinese dance was my favorite because there was a dragon!"
Carter: "I liked it because it was very musical. My favorite dances were the Arabian and the Chinese dances. I also liked the part when the nutcracker came to life and when he fought the mice king."
Cate: "I liked sugar plum queen and the Arabian dance. I liked the sparkly blue."
Mom: "I liked driving to a matinee because there was no traffic:) I LoVED the Arabian and Russian dances..always my fave. I also loved seeing my three kiddos on the edge of their seats, with binoculars in hand, totally mesmerized!"
