Tallest mountain in New England...a mere 6000 something feet. Despite the less impressive heights compared to Utah, we still chose to ride on a train to the top instead of climb it! We'll save the hike for another day. We couldn't resist the historic and Carter-friendly experience, complete with whistle, steam, and coal. When we first spotted the mountain, I thought it was on fire...but that was just the smoke from the coal burning. YUCK!
