A winter storm warning+pre-paid ski school+a little condo in the mountains+warm underwear and hand warmers=a crazy impromptu weekend with the kids and mom up in the mountains.
The storm never really came as badly as predicted, so my fear of driving four kiddos up to ski school in an icy blizzard at 5 am wasn't needed. But we still had fun hunkering down in Dillon, CO for a couple of days. Kids loved ski school, swimming, hiking in bitter windy cold Frisco, and watching movies. Glad we went...glad to be home:)
Cold
You know it's cold when your nose-hairs freeze.
Or the thermometer reads -6 degrees.
It's cold if Sofie's slobber congeals,
And crunchy sounds come from your wheels.
when the window washer fluid sprays ice,
You know it's cold,
Doesn't hot chocolate seem nice?
