With the year coming to an end, we've decided to look back at 2009 and try to sum up the joys, the adventures, and the craziness we encountered. We feel blessed to be surrounded by superheroes Carter, Cate and Sammie...keeping life exciting each day. Taking a page out of my sister-in-law's book, we've chosen to play the "3 Truths and a Lie" game for our Christmas blog. (Thanks, Mardi, for sharing:) So under each member of the family are three facts and one lie. See if you can figure out which is the lie...answers found at the bottom of this post. We love you and are grateful for your love and friendship. We wish you all a wonderful season full of friends, family and the true spirit of Christmas. God bless!

Answers:
Mike (c) Despite our time in Massachusetts and being married to an Austin, Mike is still as conservative as ever, keeping the liberals here honest:) He's in favor of health care reform, just a bit nervous about what it will mean for the future of his profession. If all fails, though, he has his lawn mowing career to fall back on:)
Jennie (b) Heavens no! We're happily trying to survive with three kids. Not sure what the future holds, but loving the number five.
Carter (d) Carter DID get a new pet this year, but it's a beautiful betta fish called Rainbow, given to us by our friend Ruby. She only needs feeding once a day, tank cleaned once a month, and no walks or "pooper scoopers." Perfect for our condo living.
Samantha (a) Sammie's ultimate favorite color is PINK, and more pink. She also is a huge fan of princesses and ballerina skirts thanks to one of our babysitters' indoctrination.
Cate (d) At lunch today, we asked Cate what food she thought was "yucky" and she promptly replied "jelly sandwiches with peanut butter." So true. She won't go near them. She said this as she ate her broccoli soup. Who are these kids?
